finally some pictures

At this point I couldn't feel my legs but I was soo happy I just wanted to take lots of pictures!

My mom and myself at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Race! This was my first 5K I talked about yesterday! I ran the race for her and raised over $400 dollars. She is battling Stage 3 colon cancer and I wanted to show her she can beat this disease!

Good Morning Everyone,

Hopefully today I will get some readers :-) I think I need to start commenting more on other people's blogs so I can get some readers! I was always that person who kinda just read and didn't comment but now I have a reason to comment. So still no pictures :-( I am hoping soon though!  Anyway, yesterday for Breakfast: 

I had a 3/4 cup of honey nut cheerioes
1/2 cup fat free milk
1/4 cup of 50 cal organge juice.

Morning Snack:
Chocolate Vitatop

Salad with Perdue Turkey, carrots, scallions, tomatoes.
1 cup of strawberries

Afternoon Snack:
Medium Banana

My momma's meatloaf with two potatoes pieces and some string beans.. Mmmm I do just love string beans!

Hi Friends,

Welcome to my first official post. I have decided to start a blog for many reasons. One is obviously accountability. I would like to be held accountable for what I eat and what I do. The reason I chose the name Hale & Hearty is because it means healthy. I have been wanting to start a blog for a while but never though of a good time to start one. That is until I wrote Meghann about my first 5k this weekend. She was so touched by my e-mail she decided to quote me on her blog. I was really touched my this and though there is never a better time for me to start a blog than RIGHT NOW! So here I am starting my own blog. I am going to be posting once a day about what I have eaten. On a negative note I just pulled out my camera and I am having a lens error :-( so I am not sure how log it will take me to get food pictures up but I am going to B & H tomorrow on my lunch break and hopefully they can fix the problem and I can start posting pictures, but for now just words. This blog is mostly going to be about healthy food/ weight watchers and running. I do follow the weight watchers diet but incorporate healthy food. I know a lot of people who follow it think a point is just a point but to me a point is not just a point if the food is not good for me. I also will be talking about my upcoming training for my first 10K in October. As I mentioned to Meghann and she posted this was my first race ever and it was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I did not walk once and can't wait to start training for my 10K. So hopefully you will come back tomorrow and see what I ate as well as what my first official run will be tomorrow morning for my first 10k! I will be working on the layout and stuff so give me a little time on that! I am just learning all this! O yeah and also I am going to try and get some pictures up later tonight so you have SOMETHING to look at! hehe. Have a great night everyone!
